San Luis Obispo County firefighters help fight Rim Fire

Firefighters from throughout San Luis Obispo County are among the 4,840 firefighters battling the Rim Fire burning near Yosemite National Park.
There are 15 engines and 150 people from San Luis Obispo County battling the fire that has grown to 192,737 acres.
The Rim Fire has destroyed 11 residences, three commercial buildings and 97 outbuildings since it broke out on Aug. 17. In recent days, the fire’s spread rate has slowed and firefighters expect to have the blaze fully contained by Sept. 10.
More than 5,000 structures remain threatened. Four people have been injured, officials said.
