Plane makes emergency landing at SLO airport
September 16, 2013
A plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport Sunday because the landing gear was not operational.
Airport emergency personnel, Cal Fire and the San Luis Obispo Fire Department responded to the runway shortly before 8 p.m., after receiving reports that the landing gear was malfunctioning.
No one was injured during the landing. However, it took two hours to remove the plane from the runway and resume normal operations.
At about 9:30 p.m., planes waiting to land were permitted on the runway.
