December 12, 2013
Members of the San Luis Obispo County Regional SWAT Team arrested a Paso Robles couple Wednesday morning that are believed to be dangerous gang associates.
Around 6 a.m. Wednesday, the SWAT team served a search warrant for narcotics in the 100 block of Santa Ynez Ave. in Paso Robles.
The SWAT team used flash bangs upon entry into the home because the suspects were deamed “high risk” for previous weapons violations, resisting arrest and suspected gang involvement.
During the search, officers found 1.3 grams of heroin, 11 grams of methamphetamine, scales, drug paraphernalia and indications of criminal gang involvement.
Officers arrested Enrique Rubio, 30, and Evette Honesto, 32. Both are charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of narcotics for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.
Both suspects are in San Luis Obispo County Jail on $25,000 bail.
