Cal Poly reached a high of 89 degrees Thursday, setting a record temperature and marking the hottest January day in more than 100 years. Prior to Thursday, the highest recorded temperature for Jan. 16 in San Luis Obispo was 80 degrees, set in 1948.

“It’s unprecedented,” said PG&E meteorologist John Lindsey. A strong ridge of high pressure over California has caused the January heat wave.

Paso Robles also reached a record high of 82 degrees Thursday. The temperature was a record 89 degrees in Santa Maria.

Cooler temperatures are expected over the weekend.

I was under the impression that Adam Hill thought he is “God” but maybe he is just conspiring with him/her.

So, is it purely coincidence that we suffered all this hot air on the same day that Adam Hill’s opinion piece appeared in the New Times and Santa Maria Sun?

I think not!
