3 dead in Central Coast car crashes

Three people were killed in two of the multiple auto collisions that occurred on Wednesday during the afternoon rain.
Shortly before 3 p.m., a 31-year-old Nipomo man was killed in a head on collision on Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County. Susan Jorgensen of Santa Ynez suffered minor injuries in the collision.
About an hour later, two people were killed in a collision on Highway 46 near Union Road in Paso Robles. The driver of a small passenger car was attempting to cross the highway when they drove in the path of a large pickup truck. Both occupants of the passenger car were killed.
Paso Robles police have not yet released the names of the deceased or the condition of the truck’s occupants.
