Driver dead after crashing into Cayucos home

An elderly man was found dead inside a car he drove into a home on Hacienda Drive in Cayucos on Saturday afternoon. [Tribune]
California Highway patrol officers found the 79-year-old Cayucos man unresponsive in his car. Paramedics transported the man to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. His name is not being released at this time.
There was no one in the residence at the time of the accident.
Officials said the damage to the car did not warrant a fatal injury. An investigation is ongoing.
