Man stabbed in SLO park
August 4, 2014
San Luis Obispo police are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed another man Sunday evening at De Vaul Park on Madonna Road.
Shortly before 11 p.m., police discovered a man suffering from a stab wound at a picnic table in the park. Prior to the stabling, the victim and the suspect were engaged in an argument that led to the physical altercation.
The suspect, Geffery Stephenson, 19, fled the scene and headed south towards Los Osos. Police said Stephenson is homeless and might have a campsite on Gary Grossman’s property near the Post Office.
Emergency personnel transported the victim, who was suffering from a stab wound to the torso that punctured a lung, to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.
