AG council weekend meeting targets Adams’ job

September 19, 2014

AG signSeeking to head off a growing firestorm of community anger, the Arroyo Grande City Council has announced a special meeting Saturday at 1 p.m. to discuss the job performance of City Manager Steve Adams.

It will be the third such analysis of the embattled manager’s “job performance” since he was discovered by police in a darkened City Hall office July 3 in what was later described as an “uncomfortable situation” with a subordinate, Teresa McClish, the city’s community development director.

The late-night incident, first reported by CalCoastNews, was later minimized by Adams, McClish and Mayor Tony Ferrara, who took public issue with police officers’ version of events, suggesting reports were tainted by ongoing labor negotiations. That resulted Thursday in a vote of no-confidence in Adams and Ferrara by the police officers’ association, and the filing of a formal complaint with the city council against the pair.

By slating the weekend special meeting, council members may be hoping to offset planned public displays at Tuesday’s regularly scheduled meeting.

Mayor Tony: Another piece of trash from LAPD that has blown into town and decided to run things for us.

yep…..and dont forget all his USC credentials…..lmfao

In the real world, it’s a matter of garbage in….garbage out. It’s simple physics.

So the outcome of the special meeting…. Three of the people involved in the improper handling of the issue are the ones picking the independent investigator???? Does this seem right to anyone??

no. standard. file a complaint against any police department, and they investigate themselves, and find that everything was handled according to procedure and policy. See Kelly Thomas. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. CASE STUDY.

The ACME Film Company along with High Tea Productions will begin a casting search for characters in their up coming movie,,,”It Takes a Village.”

It is rumored that Meryl Streep will play the role of the Community Director while Robert DeNiro will be cast as the Mayor. Beau Bridges is considering the role of City Manger.

An open casting call will be held for parts in the film including extras at a future. date to be determined.

CCN reporters and investigators will play themselves.

This pack of jackals Tony, Steve, Carmel and Trish need to get out now.

One of the jackals was seen moving boxes out of City Hall.

Shhhh, we’re not supposed to know yet!

Which one of the jackals?

Stay tuned, the next few days will be very interesting!

If Teresa did not want anyone to know, maybe she should have done it later in the night, Steve and Tony might have even helped her.

The citizens need to remember to stay focus and not just settle for Adams resigning. If that even happens? The Independent investigation needs to be conducted and EVERY person involved in this cover up should be brought forth for termination. There have been several incidents of sham investigations and cover ups that have included Ferrera, Adams, and the police chief Annibali.

Adams is on record (New Times) stating he that he didn’t know of any harassment lawsuits cases against Annibali prior to hiring him but yet CNN found them with a simple Google search.

And how about the city wide employee meeting that was tape in November 2007?

Mayor Ferrera stood in front of all the city employees and made an impromptu statement addressing the sexual harassment investigation. Ferrera said there was a “missunderstanding” between the female officers and their sergeant in regards to sexual harassment. When the tape of this meeting was requested, Annibali said it was “missing and couldn’t find it” Annibali then refused to address the mayors false and condescending statement to Ferrera amd Adams on behalf of the female officers. Wonder where that recording went?

Ferrera gave a statement to the Tribune saying he never said those words or spoke in a negative manner about the female employees.

These are just a few examples of our leadership taking care of business as usual with their brooms of cover up. It’s funny how tapes and audio recordings go “missing” and the deny everything and make counter accusations attitude takes place when confronted with the truth. And it appears if an employee speaks up about the wrong doing then they are fired, put on leave, demoted, publicly shamed in the media, etc.

Keep strong AGPOA and AG citizens. Do not let this issue rest until each and every person involved is removed from their position.

very good points….

I have to wonder what be discovered about Tony when South County Sanitation District brings a New Rate Increase after the Election ?

Cover up 2# with fines, legal cost, wasteful costly short meetings. Hold on, this is only the beginning.

Wasn’t there also claims of sexual harassament (including and up to….people running around naked…..staff having sex onsite during working hours) at the San Dist also? I seem to vaguely recall those claims being made and Big Tony doing his best to cover up the situation and keep his GOB friends relatively clean. I wonder what’s going on down at the San Dist nowadays that Big Tony isn’t telling people about?

I also find it interesting that the two candidate signs Mayor Ferrara has in his yard are for Caren Ray and Katcho Achadijan. It kind of explains why after more than 6 attempts to get Caren Ray to return a call or email, she has ignored me, Yes I live in her district. So she has no time now for one of her constituents what makes you think she will if she is elected. Not even a form letter or recorded response. Yes, Lynn Compton did discuss this issue with me and if you are interested I urge you to give her a call, as for Caren Ray, good luck, it seems she has more important things to do than talk with a potential voter.

See many of you at 1pm.

Let’s face it, Caren Ray is trying to distance herself from the AG council and Steve Adams.

She was 100% team Adams during her time on the council, just like Tony and apparently a majority of the council.

Heaven knows she’s not one to condone irresponsible personal behavior considering her own colorful personal life.

No wonder she doesn’t return your call.

Besides, she’s probably too busy meeting the buses full of union members arriving from LA to canvas our neighborhoods on her behalf.

vote for class, lynn compton, not crass, care ray.

I live in this district, having recently moved here from Orcutt, so please elaborate on Caren Ray’s behavior when she was on city council. Thank you. This newspaper and the people who read it seem to be the only ones who speak frankly.

For starters, check out HHH, Hash House Harriers.

Our former City Council member was a proud member of this self proclaimed “naked running group with a drinking problem”, stating it was normal adult behavior, or something close to that.

Then there’s the matter of her recently purchased home being deemed “historically significant”, thus nearly wiping out her property tax bill,

which sets her up perfectly to campaign for the elimination of Prop 13.

Add to that, her BF being appointed, by her, to our ARC,

(after he copped a plea to stealing 100K+ from his ex-wife’s inheritance),

and then presenting projects before the city on behalf of the firm he works for…

No doubt these actions, and more, so much more, made her an easy choice for Gov Brown to appoint to the supervisorial seat…

it’s easy to see what a great fit she is to join Adam Hill & Bruce Gibson.

Don’t even get me started on these two low-life goons!

Sad to say, this is just the tip of the iceberg…welcome to AG!

Look Caren Ray had her own messes way back, Her Back ground is Teaching.. She is cut from all of the same cloth as the Mayor, and the city council, She has never won any election, remember she was appoint @ AG, and Appointed After Poor Paul Teixeira Pasted away, which Knowing the Teixeira family Ray was a very poor replacement but what do you expect, from our Fair Gov. Browny Button, who these day’s mind seems to be as clouded as The City of Arroyo Grande’s Leaders , They all are the worst..

(Caren Ray Member of running hairs)

When your Electing your City Leader’s you really need to look at their back ground people?

after all Look at Chuck” Save the Village” Fellows, Realtor!..also Partner with Lenny “the open Robe” Jones.. These people are very dysfunctional !!!

Time for a New Slate of Leader’s !!! You just need to Look down the line..to see how screwed up these people are! This has been going on along time, time to break the pattern.

I am sure Tony is urging Steve to resign and then claim everything is now fine in OZ and the council just was as in the dark as the public. Somebody needs to run against Tony. I don’t attend many meetings but he just tries to bully the entire council to vote in line and you sure see his displeasure if they don’t

Tony doesn’t urge…Tony commands.

Personally, I don’t think any employee should be dismissed until there has been a thorough and competent investigation. That should include what transpired on the night in question as well as everything that followed. Only then should any discipline be considered and/or charges filed. Lying to police, doctoring tapes and withholding public information are crimes, I believe.

That said, I think the Mayor should resign now. His credibility which was seriously damaged by a previous Grand Jury investigation is now completely and irretrievably gone.

Nothing other than a call for a Grand Jury investigation should occur at the hurriedly called meeting today. There is a role for public involvement in our governmental process and it is wrong to try to thwart that by trying to bury the issue before Tuesday’s regularly scheduled meeting.

Investigating this incident would take a few hours at most.

Watch the tapes of 7/3 to determine what happened at City Hall, including the ones from camera 6, which have not been turned over yet, or still…

Interview, not interrogate the responding officers.

Watch the tapes of 7/4 to learn what Mr Adams was doing at City Hall on 4 separate occasions.

The tapes, and the officers are not lying.
