Fire burns 11 acres on Nipomo Mesa

A fire broke out Sunday afternoon on the Nipomo Mesa and burned about 11 acres of land before firefighters contained it. [KSBY]
The fire began around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Camino Mariposa and Scenic View Way. It quickly spread through a eucalyptus grove.
About 10 fire engines and one aircraft responded to the blaze. By Sunday night, firefighters were still working on extinguishing the fire.
The fire did not come close to any structures, and officials reported no injuries.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and remains under investigation.
