Fatal crash north of the Cuesta Grade
November 1, 2014
The driver of a street sweeping truck that crashed Halloween night on Highway 101 just north of the Cuesta Grade was killed in the accident.
Shortly before 6 p.m., the truck hydroplaned and then rolled, according to the California Highway Patrol. One other vehicle was involved in the crash, though further information is not yet available.
The accident blocked all northbound lanes of traffic causing rush-hour traffic to backup along the grade.
The driver’s name is not being released pending notification of family.
