Cambria man arrested for child porn, drugs
January 8, 2015
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office sexual assault and narcotics units, as well as the gang task force, teamed up to bust a Cambria man Wednesday who had reportedly been downloading and distributing child pornography from his home.
Shortly after 7 a.m., detectives searched the home of 49-year-old Christopher John Kehoe and found a computer containing more than 600 images of pubescent children engaged in sexual acts. Kehoe allegedly downloaded the images from the internet and then distributed them.
The detectives could not find any evidence, though, that Kehoe was using his house to create child pornography. His home is located at 2555 Wilcombe Road.
Sheriff’s detectives also seized other computers and digital media from the house, and they will conduct forensic analysis of the evidence in search of child pornography. They, too, found six ounces of methamphetamine, as well as proof of narcotic sales, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
Detectives arrested Kehoe and charged him with two counts of possession and distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of a controlled substance for sale. Kehoe is currently in San Luis Obispo County Jail on $120,000 bail.
