Officers responded to the shooting shortly before 6 a.m. in the 800 block of Sycamore Canyon Road. Officers found several vehicles damaged by bullets, but no person with any injuries.

Police say they, thus far, have no witnesses other than the victim. The victim, a 34-year-old man who lives in the neighborhood, was near his work truck when the gunman began chasing him and firing shots.

The gunman was wearing a black hoodie and a baseball cap. After firing shots, he fled in a black SUV, police say.

The victim told officers that there were two other men in the getaway vehicle.

Investigators believe the gunman has gang ties to the King City area. They also believe Tuesday’s shooting was gang-related.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Paso Robles Police Department. Anonymous tips can also be delivered to Crime Stoppers by calling (805) 549-STOP.

Is Paso turning in a ghetto like Santa Maria?

In addition to Pasoparent5’s observations, Paso is getting screwed from the inside out by City Management and the “good ole boy” politics rampant there.

First of all, you give Adam Hill too much credit.

More important, is the reality that King City gangsters are settling in Paso.

Salinas, Greenfield and King City from the north. Bako, Fresno & Visalia from the east. SB county and LA from the south.

We’re screwed.

Is that Adam (waste-of-skin) Hill in that picture preparing for a BOS meeting public comment period?

Scales, not skin.
