One killed, five injured in crash near Lompoc

One person died and five people suffered injuries during a crash near Lompoc early Friday morning.
The two-car collision occurred at Highway 1 and Jalama Road, according the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. One person suffered major injuries in the crash.
KSBY reports a 10-year-girl was ejected from one of the vehicles. She survived with major injuries.
An ambulance transported those who survived the crash to a hospital.
CHP officers are investigating the collision. PG&E was also contacted because a power pole was struck during the crash.
