Templeton market vandalized again
July 21, 2015
A vandal or vandals targeted the Templeton Market & Deli earlier this month, marking the third incident of vandalism at the business in the past 16 months.
Shortly after 12:35 a.m. on July 12, an alarm went off at Templeton Market & Deli. San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the business at 390 South Main Street within four minutes, but they did not locate any suspects.
The deputies found a broken glass door on the south side of the building, according to a sheriff’s office news release. Last year, vandals twice threw rocks through windows at the market.
Around 1:35 a.m. on March 30, 2014, a vandal threw a rock that broke windows on the south side of the business. The second incident took place at around 12:20 a.m. on June 25, 2014 and resulted in approximately $1,500 in damage.
Sheriff’s investigators have yet to locate anyone suspected of committing any of the acts of vandalism. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the vandalism.
