A 41-year-old Ocean man suffered major injuries after he crashed on U.S. Highway 101 near 10th Street in San Miguel on Sunday, California Highway Patrol officials said.
Shortly after 3 p.m., the Oceano man was headed southbound at about 70 miles per hour when his vehicle drifted to the left into the center divider. The man then over corrected to the right, crossed through the other lanes of traffic and crashed into an asphalt curb causing his vehicle to overturn.
CHP officers arrived to find the man unconscious with multiple lacerations to his face and hands. Emergency medical personnel then transported the Oceano man to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton.
Officers have not yet released the name of the injured man. Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected of contributing to the incident.
