November 30, 2016
Paso Robles police arrested a man and a woman after finding them in a stolen SUV Tuesday morning.
At approximately 10:38 p.m., a Paso Robles officer spotted a Toyota Sequoia SUV roll through a stop sign at Kiler Canyon Road and South Vine Street. Upon checking the SUV’s vehicle identification number, the officer learned the Toyota had been stolen from a hotel in the Paso Robles area in August.
Police searched the driver, 33-year-old Paso Robles resident Guillermo Willie Lujan Jr., and the passenger, 27-year-old Ashley Nicole Talbert, of rural Paso Robles. Officers found Talbert was in possession of a substance suspected to be heroin.
Officers arrested both Lujan and Talbert and booked them in San Luis Obispo County Jail. Lujan is charged with receiving stolen property, and Talbert is facing charges of receiving stolen property and possession of narcotics.
Lujan remains in custody with his bail set at $20,000. Talbert, too, is still in jail with bail set at $20,000.
Investigators request that anyone who has information about the incident call the police department or Crime Stoppers at 805-549-STOP.
