California music teacher arrested after punching student

The fist fight resulted in the teacher’s arrest. However, numerous people are coming to the defense of the teacher.

Video of the incident shows the 14-year-old student standing at the front of the classroom, yelling profanity and racial slurs at teacher Marston Riley. At one point, Riley throws a punch at the student, and a fight ensues.

During the brawl, Riley landed at least several punches on the student. Eventually, the fight was broken up.

The student suffered moderate injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He was transported to the hospital, where he received treatment and was later released.

Officers arrested Riley for child abuse and booked him in jail. Riley later posted bail and was released from custody.

The Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Bureau is continuing to investigate the case.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page has raised more than $50,000 in just two days to help cover Riley’s legal expenses. The fundraising page states unpleasant events have happened to Riley over the past few years, with Friday’s incident being the latest.

“We all may have mixed feelings about what happened. But please do know that this is not the first time that Mr. Riley is attacked; physically or verbally,” the GoFundMe page states. “He is a great person and a great teacher.”

You have to wonder how long that poor man had been taking crap from the little darlings before snapping. I was a student teacher for one year after HS, I almost lost it many times, so I joined the Coast Guard and did rescues, drug busts, etc. much less stressful.

The teacher should be arrested and lose his job but I actually enjoyed watching a punk get what was coming to him for a change…..

What happen to respecting your elders did it go out the window?

I support the teacher, and you can too by contributing to his GoFundMe page.

Let’s restore discipline in our public schools.

Just saying,

Mr. George Bailey

Good thing he has funds for defense, he’s going to need it.

It made me sick to my stomach to watch that video – that kid needs his butt whooped, and to be taught some respect. Though the teacher should not have struck him first, I don’t know how he held out that long before taking a swing. If someone stood there are called me “nigga” multiple times and mocked me, I’m not sure I could have held out as long as the teacher did.

With his attitude and disrespect toward elders and authority, the kid will be in prison before long, and the taxpayers will be footing the bill for his lifetime in jail, I guarantee it. If he’s acting this way at 14, imagine what he will be doing at 18.

One reason the little darlings pull this crap is because the Sociocrats in Suckramento passed a bill where if a student assaults a teacher they cannot be suspended expelled because each day they are out of school it is money out of the districts coffers.Check the assaults on teachers in abakersfield.

In my opinion music teachers are not violent, must be time for his retirement. As for the student, he will likely pull this stunt, with something that looks like a gun in his hand, on a police officer and end is right to free speech. That will be his parents fault, as for the police officer, personal safety is number one.
