Our denier-in-chief is on his own

Good friends, 116,708 American soldiers died in World War One. Of those 53,402 at the hands of German, Austrian and Turkish soldiers. The rest died from the H1-N1 Flu while serving their country in Europe.

Donald Trump may not be responsible for the origins of the virus, but he is at fault for his denial, delay, weakness and failure to lead. Had he acted like a president when he first learned of this disease in early January, the virus would have been contained.

By May 15, 88,000 American were dead from Covid-19, already more than the 52,402 Americans killed in combat during WWI.  While deaths in some parts of the country are going down, in others they are rising, keeping us at about 3,000 dead every day. At that rate, here is what May 2020 portends:

May 16 – 91,000 dead Americans

May 17 – 94,000 dead Americans

May 18 – 97,000 dead Americans

May 19 – 100,000 dead Americans

May 20 – 103,000 dead Americans

May 21 – 106,000 dead Americans

May 22 – 109,000 dead Americans

May 23 – 112,000 dead Americans

May 24 – 115,000 dead Americans

May 25 – 118,000 dead Americans

More Americans killed by President Trump’s delay, denial, and despicable ignorance than were killed by German, Austrian and Turkish soldiers and the flu in World War One.

By mid-August, America will have lost more than the 416,800 Americans killed in combat in World War II; killed by President Trump’s delay, denial, and despicable ignorance.

The denier-in-chief wants you to believe that the number of people dying from the coronavirus is exaggerated. That false propaganda depends on trotting out a very few isolated instances of people’s deaths being miss-categorized in hopes that you will forget that, for every miss-categorized death, there are scores of Americans who have died at home from Covid-19 without ever being diagnosed.

Good friends. God’s speed and good luck. Wear your masks and gloves when you go out, and follow the CDC guidelines when you work. More than at any other time, your family’s health and survival are in your hands alone.

President Trump will not help you and does not care if you survive. For him, you are nothing but a resource to be used and discarded when not useful to him. Trump will fool some of the people all of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. Don’t be fooled by his denial and delay.

To put our country on a war-time footing against these war-level casualties in the second and third waves of this virus, we need a president who cares about you and understands how to mobilize and inspire war-time production to end the carnage of this virus and bring our economy back.  Joe Biden can and will do both.

Over 7,000 people die every day in this country. That has been fairly consistent for many years. Are you proposing that the covid-19 deaths are all above and beyond those numbers? You act like no one would have died if covid-19 never hit America.

If lowering the number of people dying is your mission, then let’s get real….let’s ban drugs, alcohol, tobacco, fast food, and make no car able to go faster than 30mph, since there are almost no fatalities In accidents where vehicles travel below 30mph. And if you really want to save lives, let’s ban all sugar, because no other substance leads to more deaths than sugar does. Heart disease, obesity, cancer, stroke, diabetics, and many more share sugar In the diet as the significant factor for their causes. But, I guess those are all trumps fault as well.

You should run for President, because it sounds like if you were, no Americans would die anymore apparently.

Oh, by the way, your fear doesn’t trump my natural rights, and your comparison of covid-19 deaths to those who died in battle on behalf of America is beyond disgusting. How dare you use the deaths of those who fought for this country as some measure for your argument. Shameful, absolutely shameful. You clearly have a real lack of respect, and you are so ungrateful to those who died in battle, as they gave their lives as the ultimate sacrifice to try and preserve the values of a nation for all of us, even you, and all future generations. the values of this nation are exactly what you, and millions of other people are wanting Everyone to Ignore. Those who fought, and died, were fighting so that you could have the promise of America, and that promise is that our rights and our liberties are ours, and they may not be taken from us by any government for any reason. Our lives are ours to live, but you obviously don’t feel that way. Look, if you want to surrender your freedoms and liberties that’s your right, but you cannot force me to surrender mine. Your fear is yours to live with, and you may not force me to share that fear with you.

It’s too bad so many people don’t understand our constitution, and I recommend people go back and read it.

Let us not be political and evaluate the preparation and response of Trump’s management:

1) In 2018 Trump fired Homeland Security Advisor Tom Bossart, whose job was to coordinate a response to global pandemics. He was not replaced.

2) In 2018 Dr. Luciana Borio, the NSC director for medical and bio-defense preparedness left the job. Trump did not replace Dr. Borio.

3) In 2019 the NSC’s Senior Director for Global Health Security and bio-defense, Tim Ziemer, left the position and Trump did not replace the Rear Admiral.

4) Trump shut down the entire Global Health Security and Bio-defense agency.

5) In 2018, at Trump’s direction, the CDC stopped funding epidemic prevention activities in 39 out of 49 countries including China.

6) Trump declined to use the WHO’s test like other nations. Back in January, over a month before the first COVID-19 case, the Chinese posted a new mysterious virus and within a week, Berlin virologists had produced the first diagnostic test. By the end of February, the WHO had shipped out tests to 60 countries. BUT not our government. We declined the test even as a temporary bridge until the CDC could create its own test.

7) Trump has on multiple occasions sowed doubt about the severity of the virus even using the word hoax at events and rallies. He even did it at an event where the virus was being spread.

8) Trump pretended the virus had been contained.

9) Trump left a cruise ship at sea for days, denying them proper hospital care, rather than increase his numbers in America.

10) Trump has given idiotic medical advise most notably injecting disinfectants and light into the body.

Objectively, impartially, is this an effective administrator? How would YOU be reacting if Obama made these decisions? I would be reacting the same way. Fire the man, he is simply put, an imbecile.
