California woman registers dog to vote, gets ballots after death

A California woman registered her dog to vote, cast a vote-by-mail ballot in her pet’s name, and continued getting ballots for her dog after its death. The Orange County District Attorney’s Office recently charged Laura Lee Yourex, 62, with five felonies.

Yourex’s dog voted in the 2021 gubernatorial recall election. She cast another ballot for the dog in 2022, but it was rejected.

During the 2022 election, she posted a photo of her dog on social media with an “I voted” sticker.

Following her dog’s death, Yourex continued to get ballots.

She then reported herself to the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ Office who contacted the prosecutor’s office.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office investigated the allegations before charging Yourex with perjury, procuring or offering a false or forged document to be filed, casting a ballot when not entitled to vote, and registering a non-existent person to vote,” according to the Orange County DA’s Office.

Yourex faces faces a maximum sentence of six years in prison if convicted on all counts. Her arraignment hearing is scheduled  for Sept. 9.

She lives in Orange County so guessing both she and her pooch voted for Trump. Trump won the county by 64% of the vote. But, I’m sure Republicans will do the “told you so” thing.


Imagine, millions of canines casting their vote. The poodle lobby demanding that cat mass deportation must happen now. Chihuahuas self-deporting. Russian wolfhounds and male white furred dogs all voting for Trump.

Do away with mail in ballots, establish voter ID laws, and ONLY let U.S. citizens vote. It’s the only way slow or stop the voting fraud from both parties.

So, other than this one, how many other cases of voter fraud do you have evidence for? Maybe 6 or 7 at the most? Voter ID is a solution looking for a problem. All it does is eliminate poor and marginalized people who may not have an ID. That includes seniors with degenerative conditions, people with mobility issues, and formerly incarcerated individuals. They all face difficulties obtaining a driver’s license, leaving them without a state-issued ID. But, that’s the point, right? You don’t want those people to vote anyway.


In a state where only about 60% of the population votes, why do you want to make voting more difficult?

I don’t want to make it more difficult to vote. I WANT TO MAKE IT AGAINST THE LAW FOR ILLEGALS TO VOTE!!!! I know you don’t WANT that because your party loses the chance at 2 million of them here in CA voting for the dems. Us common sense folks see it plain as day this time around.

Yes voter ID is a great idea. Maybe some marginalized people have a harder time voting but it cleans up some of the mess. And yes I believe non-citizens should be absolutely barred from voting.

No surprise. Liberals in California have foisted this mail-in voting scam under the guise of “fairness” through many election cycles. Much praise is due to this woman for highlighting this obvious and exploitable vote fraud scheme. Liberals have insisted it’s necessary. When California inserts voter registration forms in welfare packets and pushes motor voter at the DMV, you know now that it is part of the cheat. Ms. Yourex, you are a HERO. We need voter ID, paper ballots and common sense.

I watched a Mexican fella get a ballot last election at the clerks office in atascadero. Could not speak a word of English. San Luis county fraud is off the charts.

What is your point? Ballots are printed in nine languages and there is no requirement for voter ID.

The dog looks to be thinking and giving careful consideration to the issues and candidates. ID/proof of eligibility to vote requirements are strictly prohibited in California. Ergo, let the dog vote.

She needs to be charged and made an example of. She aligns with my political views on recalling Newscum but this is NOT OK.


Charge her and give her maximum punishment to make an example out of her. Do the same to others committing voter fraud as well wether you’re a liberal, moderate, or conservative. We have to put a stop to this!!!
