Anti-ICE protestors create chaos at the SLO County Jail, video

A group of anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement protestors berated federal agents and obstructed the arrest of an inmate at the San Luis Obispo County Jail on Sunday morning.

ICE agents monitor jail logs for arrests and releases of undocumented immigrants with a history of deportations. On the morning of a suspect’s release, ICE agents waited in the lobby with plans to take the suspect into custody.

Protesters taunted the ICE agents calling them names, cornering them and yelling at an inmate to flee back into the jail, according to the SLO County Sheriff’s Office. An ICE agent followed the inmate into a secure section. A deputy then told the agent to step back.

In order to deescalate the situation, the inmate was taken back into the jail.

In an attempt to clear up misinformation regarding the altercation, the SLO County Sheriff’s Office released a video of the ruckus and a warning to protesters.

SLO County “Sheriff’s Office employees should not be subjected to disturbances, obscene behavior, or foul language while carrying out their duties,” according to the sheriff’s office. “This video is being shared to remind the public that this type of behavior is unacceptable and unlawful under Penal Code 602.1.

“This law applies when a person intentionally interferes with lawful business conducted by employees of a public agency open to the public, including obstructing or intimidating employees, visitors, or members of the public. Individuals who violate this law may be asked to leave the premises and may be subject to arrest if they refuse.”

I’m terrified of these fierce warriors. The 18-series guys have nothing on this crew. Clearly each of them can ruck 250 pounds for a month without stopping, then move directly into contact. That’s what makes their threats about future retribution so intimidating. I mean, just look at them!

Wanna know why they didn’t? Because it was the ICE agents that were interfering with DUE PROCESS here, technically violating Our Constitution. Even his threats were out of line. The People have a legal right to protest, especially when the law is being ignored. I know you would be the first to commend protestors if it were your rights being violated.

This person was in jail, he was there for a reason, Ice came along to pick him up, I see no rights of his being violated, this is a criminal to start with.

Frannie? They already had “due process”. That is why they were in jail to begin with. No Constitutional rights of any American citizen was violated. ICE was only continuing the process for illegal trespassers, as outlined in:


8 U.S. Code § 1325 – Improper entry by alien


(a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of factsAny alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.


(b) Improper time or place; civil penaltiesAny alien who is apprehended while entering (or attempting to enter) the United States at a time or place other than as designated by immigration officers shall be subject to a civil penalty of—(1)at least $50 and not more than $250 for each such entry (or attempted entry); or

(2)twice the amount specified in paragraph (1) in the case of an alien who has been previously subject to a civil penalty under this subsection.

Civil penalties under this subsection are in addition to, and not in lieu of, any criminal or other civil penalties that may be imposed.


(c) Marriage fraudAny individual who knowingly enters into a marriage for the purpose of evading any provision of the immigration laws shall be imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or fined not more than $250,000, or both.


(d) Immigration-related entrepreneurship fraudAny individual who knowingly establishes a commercial enterprise for the purpose of evading any provision of the immigration laws shall be imprisoned for not more than 5 years, fined in accordance with title 18, or both.

Pathetic people. Pathetic response from the sheriff, he claims it’s unlawful but I’m sure no one was cited or arrested. How many of these losers are willing to take a violent illegal into their own home, but willing to storm a jail to get him released back into our neighborhood? Need to remove these thugs and pathetic protestors at all cost

Pepper spray and tasers, flying freely. THEN take the prisoners into custody.


What these anti-law enforcement idiots did, was obstruction of law enforcement personnel, trespassing on county property, and interfering with law enforcement in conducting their duty. Nothing in the stupid state “no assist” law, says that the Sheriff Dept. can’t arrest these wanna-be thugs as they interrupt the legal proceedings of federal law enforcement.

Wow. What a bunch of foul mouthed losers. Libs lost at the polls and cannot handle law enforcement, enforcing the laws. Try winning at the polls, rather than being a pain in the ass to society. Immigration is fine within the system. Criminals and illegal aliens should be in jail serving their time, then deported. It’s pretty simple. Just tired of the purple haired winey libs. Get a life.
