San Luis Obispo crash flips truck over guardrail

slo2A man suffered major injuries Monday evening after a crash on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo that flipped his Ford truck over the guard rail of the Highway 1 off-ramp. [KSBY]

The driver of the Ford F-150 collided with another vehicle going southbound around 8:30 p.m. The crash spun his truck into a highway sign, knocking it down, before flipping it over the guard rail. The other vehicle spun onto the shoulder but only suffered minor damage

People in the area said they heard a loud boom and explosion. Emergency personnel rushed the F-150 driver to the hospital.

The San Luis Obispo Police Department is investigating the collision.

See in paper today that it was a young kid (17) returning home after a soccor game he played in. He cut short another car and clpped it sending himself into a spin and over the rail. The kid is in ICU. Makes any parent shutter thinking this could just as easily be them in this situation. I wish him and his family the best.
