Arroyo Grande man killed in big rig crash

An Arroyo Grande man was killed in a big rig crash in Pasadena on Thursday, CHP officials said.
Shortly before midnight, Gerald Hall, 58, was headed home in a Volvo tractor truck on Highway 210 when he hit a concrete pillar. The trailer Hall was towing jack-knifed, which blocked all traffic lanes on the highway.
Five cars then crashed into Hall’s truck.
Hall was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were transported to hospitals with minor injuries.
