Last call for Writers’ Conference
September 12, 2010
Time is running out to attend next weekend’s 26th annual Central Coast Writers’ Conference at Cuesta College. The annual event, scheduled for next Friday night and Saturday, September 17-18, is expected to draw approximately 250 writers from around the state.
New conference director and Tribune columnist Judy Salamacha is serving up more than 30 writing workshops, all taught by published authors, agents, and other industry professionals. Anyone, regardless of writing experience, is welcome to attend.
Bay Area agent Nathan Bransford of Curtis Brown is the scheduled Friday night keynoter. Mystery writer Marcia Preston, Young Adult author Diane Lindsey Reeves, poet Kevin Clark, and travel guru Diane Lebow are also on this year’s faculty, teaching 90-minute workshops in writing both fiction and nonfiction.
Salamacha is offering a specific track for high school writers at a reduced rate.
For registration information, call Cuesta College Community Programs at 546-3132.
