Arroyo Grande woman arrested for hit and run

An Arroyo Grande woman was arrested after she allegedly drove her truck into a fire hydrant on Saturday knocking out water service to portions of Grove Beach. [SantaMariaTimes]
Chantel Molina, 33, was driving a Ford F150 on the 900 block of 12th Street when she allegedly hit the hydrant at about 9:15 a.m. Molina then fled the scene with her passenger Regina Encallado.
Grover Beach police found both Molina and Encallado hiding in a nearby garage.
Emergency personnel transported Encallado to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital where she was treated for moderate injuries.
Police arrested Molina and booked her into San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of hit and run and resisting arrest in lieu of $75,000.
