Police arrested Craig Bruington, 21, for assault with a deadly weapon and booked him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.

Shortly before that, at about 3 a.m., a transient man seriously injured a man he beat with a blunt object at a home on the 700 block of 5th Street.

Grover needs money. Money to put into police and to drive prices up, so people dealing drugs and in gangs can’t move here.

Build a Hancock College Satelite campus on Farrel Road. That would be a boom. And some sort of regional shopping center near the beach.

Anyone who’s been living in grover for the past 5 years could see it coming. I don’t know where they get the money to live there or if they are all section 8 or what but for years now the neighborhoods have been filling up with younger, shady looking characters, most of whom seem unemployed and prolific users of drugs and alcohol. Unemployment and the use of drugs (not marijuana) and alcohol is the classic recipe for violent crime.

It’s as if when the real estate boomed 1999-2007 they slowly moved away. then in 2008 when real estate crashed they all moved back.
