Supervisor Gibson sneaks girlfriend back in office?

Supervisor Bruce Gibson has brought his legislative assistant and mistress back to work for him in his office, several county employees said.

These employees contend Gibson is attempting to bring Cherie Aispuro back to work at his side without public exposure.

Gibson’s adulterous, long-term affair with Aispuro— his legislative assistant of six years — had been slated to cost county taxpayers $68,870 in annual salary plus benefits for a parallel county position she was offered by the county administrator.

Since November, after Gibson admitted the affair and claimed he was planning to file for divorce from his wife, Aispuro has worked in the county clerk’s office at almost double what her co-workers are making for the same work. Meanwhile, Gibson has been operating without an assistant.

A secretary for the supervisors’ office, Kristi Gutierrez, said she is unaware if Aispuro is again serving as Gibson’s assistant. When asked if Aispuro had been in Gibson’s office Wednesday, Gutierrez affirmed, saying that Gibson and his friend had spent time in Gibson’s office.

County Council Rita Neal said that today Aispuro is working in the county clerk recorder’s office.

When asked if Aispuro is going back and forth between serving as Gibson’s legislative assistant and working in the clerk’s office, Neal said, “I am not at liberty to discuss that. On the record, Aispuro’s position in the clerk’s office has always been temporary.”

Calls for confirmation to County Administrative Officer Dan Buckshi and Human Resources Director Tami Douglas-Schatz were not returned.

Cherie Aispuro was appointed by Gibson as his legislative assistant, an at-will job that concludes when the elected official leaves office. After news of the affair with Gibson became public, the county offered Aispuro the new job.

With adultery, it matters not if one is an atheist, or practices another religion that is not Christianity, because these unchristian people will already take the E-ticket one way ride to the sulfur lakes of Hell upon their demise!


But, what are the ramifications of adultery that Bruce Gibson faces if he, or anyone else, is a true Christian? “Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters NOR ADULTERERS nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)


The biblical passage above is an inspired by God statement with no wiggle-room and forgiveness whatsoever, otherwise, why did our God state it in the “absolute” manner that He did in the first place? Therefore, the least of which, Bruce Gibson IS NOT going to heaven! Did the true Christian want him in heaven with us anyway? NOT!


Furthermore, relative to Mr. Gibsons ungodly adulterous affair; “and the man that committeth adultery with another mans wife even he that committeth adultery with his neighbors wife the adulterer and the adulteress SHALL SURELY BE PUT TO DEATH” (Leviticus 20:10)


Which biblical passage above is appropriate for Mr. Gibson? With either passage, he and Cherie Aispuro are screwed! (no pun intended)

History is riddled with instances where people in power were felled not for their initial wrong, but for the attempted coverup.


I don’t think Gibson will be any different.


What is amazing is that he continues to pull this BS, when it is clear that he can no longer get away with it.


Aisporo must have hold of him by his short hairs for him to risk everything by attempting to cover up what is plainly obvious.

A horny opportunist. I question whether he “loves” her, and certainly I question if he respects her. Who would do something to someone he loves when he knows it will place her in a degrading position? No one except for a horny opportunist.


Let’s be serious here. Do you think Cherie would have any interest whatsoever in Gibson if he was a county janitor? NO.


So there is an element of horny opportunism on her part, too.


My wish for them both is that they marry because then they will have to live in the heII of constant suspicion about whether the other was being faithful.

Strange how we see the women’s role as a “…degrading position” and a man’s role as a “…degrading situation”. These are two of the biggest losers in this County. Do they really think they are fooling the public? Election time will tell and hopefully Gibson will select the “reformed” Adam Hill as his campaign manager. What a group we have representing us!

I see the two words as interchangeable. If I meant to refer to her or his position, I probably would have added the term “knee pads” or “missionary.”

Not a very good spiritual leader in his home. Talk is cheap, you have to live the pain. I would surmise that he is a socialpath with no guilt strong enough to stop him from doing what he should be doing. Being a good example is a hard way to live for anyone but very rewarding when looking into your wifes loving, approving eyes. Love is worth the effort. I feel bad that his wife has to go through this. Maybe he will change before he completely loses her. Could happen. Did for me.

My marriage is a work of art done by a child. Thanks for thinking my marriage has worked out. Marriage is a daily struggle for obvious reasons, such as, temptations, no or little money, misunderstandings, lying, manipulations in various degrees, making decisions alone, not talking on an intimate level, not listening and on and on and on.


As my wife says, “we are a work in progress”. Bring respect into a marriage and doors will open.


He is the leader only if he earns the right with his actions. Most women have told me that if they had a man that treated them like Jesus treats the church they would follow him anywhere.


Jesus loves each of us like we are the only person on earth. Nice to be loved like that. And we as men are supposed to love our women like that. Not easy for men. Not easy for anyone.

County Council was handed a huge plateful by Bruce Gibson’s peccadilloes gross behavior with anotherCounty employee and has no choice but to keep his mistress employed lest the relationship sour.


Quid pro quo, or tit for tat, sexual harassment is when an employer demands sexual activity as a condition of employment or advancement, according to according to the state Division on Civil Rights.


The temporary job seems to work for now, but may be just kicking the can down the road for a while.


The results of the County internal investigation is not presently available for taxpayer consumption, we can only guess or believe what we are told to believe.

Well, he still has his business, at least for now until Grace cleans him out. After he loses his BOS position, his business, his home and lives with Mom and Dad we shall see if she stays with him. What a bunch of loses at the County.


Does anyone know if the County Counsel position is an elected position? They are not worth the money they have in their budget. This is a waste of taxpayer dollars, as they work for the BOS and how can they represent them and the taxpapyers aat the same time.

This should be elected and represent the people, the the hokie’s working for the County.

Apparently, according to the “anti-sewer” people who I speak to on a daily basis, you’ve gone after critics who have passed away or suffered some tragic loss and linked their problems to their beliefs or some off-the-wall comparison. You went on The Trib and compared Gewynn Taylor’s husband George to the Sandy Hook shooter, saying that George was near three schools and could potentially be violent. Gewynn and George were critics of Gibson and his project.


I saw these comments posted as Lynette_Tornatzky. It’s not “lies” if people can clearly see you saying those things. Unbelievable.

Lynette, you’re not telling the truth about your involvement. For one, there were witnesses at office hours including the two people I mentioned before. They both said you answered FOR Gibson because you were so “passionate” over the subject. There are other residents who said you answered their questions when it wasn’t your role to do so.


You keep going after CCN and Los Osos “anti-sewer” people and people who criticize Bruce Gibson. Your name jogs my memory of all these e-mails I’ve received from people who all said the same thing that you’re in Gibson’s corner. Apparently you’ve even gone as far as to “reportedly” stalk Gibson critics at their home. I take a lot of what is said on the Internet with a grain of salt, but with all that has been said about you here and elsewhere, it’s clear that you’re trouble and thank God you post with your real name. People know who to avoid.

Hi Spork,

Could you explain to the readers how the ratings are accrued sometime? I myself have been guilty of logging in and out of here and using multiple phones, iPads, etc. to skew my one lone opinion on the “likes” or “dislikes” here. What the rating actually can represent is (wasted) time and energy to amp up one person’s opinion.

Yes, I did just read what is there on the “About Comment Voting” page, thanks for the info, but it doesn’t quite address one’s ability to skew the vote by the ways I mentioned above. You might want to look into that and add that information.

She’s not just in Gibson’s corner. She also was a rabid supporter of Paavo Ogren when he had his own affair with a married woman who was also on the LOCSD BOD. Between them, there were many, many conflicts of interest which violated county/state regulations on ethics.
