Teen dies in rollover accident near Cuesta College
February 18, 2013
An Encino girl died on Sunday after being ejected from a Jeep that drove off Highway 1 in front of Cuesta College.
The driver, Sanam Azemoon, 19, of Calabasas drove off an embankment which caused the Jeep to roll several times.
The currently unnamed 17-year-old and two other back seat passengers were not wearing seat belts. Two of the passengers were fully ejected from the Jeep and the deceased girl was partially ejected. Four people including the driver were transported to local hospitals where they were treated for minor injuries and then released.
California Highway Patrol officials do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
