Body found at Spooner’s Cove

People hiking in Montana De Oro State Park discovered a body floating in the water at Spooner’s Cove on Friday morning, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s officials said.
Cal Fire personnel responded to the scene and pulled the body of a young man out of the water.
Spooner’s Cove is the same place where Cal Poly student Stefan Wagner was reported missing last weekend. Coroner’s officials have not yet determined if the body is that of the missing student.
The investigation is ongoing.
