San Luis Obispo man arrested for felony DUI

A 25-year-old San Luis Obispo man suspected of being intoxicated ran a red light and plowed into a minivan that contained four minor children at about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to San Luis Obispo police.

Colton Porter failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Santa Rosa and Monterey streets and crashed his Cadillac into the driver’s side of the minivan. The women driver sustained a laceration to her upper arm and was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.

None of the children were injured.

Police arrested Porter for felony DUI causing injury and booked him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.

He claims he is “Working on my masters program at Cuesta University” Masters? Cuesta University? Yeah, obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed. And with tweets like:


“Best thing about working at a restaurant drinks are always on the house.”

and “Day drinking always leads to nighttime f***ing”, the DUI comes as no surprise.


What a dirtbag! What a drunken careless piece of garbage this moron was to willfully injure another innocent person…..and worse yet, he placed children’s lives in jeopardy because he chose to drink and drive. It’s idiots like this that should spare others and just drive off a cliff. He’ll probably do 5 days in jail, a couple weeks community service and pay a negligible fine. That’s our great judicial system nowadays.
