Pismo Beach police arrested a Moose Lodge wedding reception guest on charges of attempted murder after the Oceano man allegedly stabbing several people with a knife or a sharp instrument on Saturday, police said.

Shortly after 9 p.m., a fight broke out in the lodge parking lot on the 100 block of Main Street. Police arrived to find several victims suffering from serious injuries. Because of the large number of people, the serious nature of the incident and injuries, police requested backup from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department.

One victim sustained multiple lacerations to his head and face and the other had gashes on his hand. Emergency personnel transported both victims to local hospitals where they were treated for their injuries. Though considered serious, the injuries are not life threatening.

Officers arrested Daniel Berumen, 21, on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, battery with great bodily injury and mayhem. Berumen was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

An Oceano wedding–where the gang’s all there.

“the bride cuts the cake, the bride cuts the cake, hi ho the merry o the bride cuts the cake,

and the guest stabs the groom, the guest stabs the bride, hi ho the merry o the guest stabs the bride,

and the cops arrest the guest, the cops arrest the guest, hi ho the merry o the cops arrest the guest.

and he gets 20 years to life, 20 years to life, hi ho the merry o it’s 20 years for life!”

LOL, Not sure what to think about my sense of humor but that was funny.

Your sense of humor must be as warped as mine. That silly wedding cake song mixed with such a serious but also ridiculous situation.

Daniel: you are on my guest list for the summer. If there is a lull in the party-it is a sure bet you know how to liven things up. After all-a party is not a party until the police show up :/
