Fire rips through SLO home

A San Luis Obispo house fire caused $200,000 of damage Thursday evening.
San Luis Obispo firefighters responded to a blaze at 240 Ramona Street at 7:08 p.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, they found a fire involving the back deck and rear of the house that was rapidly spreading.
The fire spread into the attic of the home before firefighters suppressed it. Firefighters achieved control of the fire within 25 minutes of the initial call.
No injuries occurred during the fire, and residents of the house were not home at the onset. Firefighters did salvage some valuables inside the house.
The fire department has not yet announced the cause of the blaze. The fire remains under investigation.
