Fatal Crash victim identified as Paso Robles man
November 2, 2014
The California Highway Patrol identified the man killed Halloween night in a crash on Highway 101 just north of the Cuesta Grade as Ronald Lee Holstine, 44, of Paso Robles.
Shortly before 6 p.m., the street sweeping truck Holstien was driving spun out and then rolled. Officers said a combination of wet roads, speed and bald tires led to the crash.
In addition, Holstien was not wearing a seatbelt.
The accident blocked all northbound lanes of traffic causing rush-hour traffic to backup along the grade.
