Paso Robles woman injured in rollover crash
July 12, 2015
A Paso Robles woman suffered major injuries Sunday morning after she lost control of her car and crashed on U.S. Highway 101 in San Miguel, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Shortly before 3 a.m., Blanca Renteria, 24, was heading northbound when she took her eyes off the highway to search for a cable to charge her phone. Renteria’s vehicle then drifted off the left shoulder and rolled several times before landing upside down on the highway near the Mission Street exit.
Renteria was able to extract herself from her vehicle before officers arrived. Emergency personnel then transported her to a local hospital.
Officers do not think drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident.
