Templeton woman killed in crash

A Templeton woman was killed New Years Day when a pickup truck she was a passenger in crashed on Highway 41 in San Luis Obispo County one mile south of the Kern County line. [KSBY]
Shortly after 8 p.m., the driver of the Nissan Titan hit a patch of black ice. The truck rolled multiple times, went down an embankment and then landed upright.
Kelly Johnson, 22, was killed in the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Emergency personnel transported the currently unnamed driver to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo where she was treated and then released
California Highway Patrol investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
