Investigators from multiple law enforcement agencies served a series of search warrants in Nipomo, Santa Barbara County and Palos Verdes. During the investigation, a 62-year-old Palos Verdes resident was determined to be involved in illegal marijuana grows located on several properties in the Tepusquet area.

In Palos Verdes, investigators seized numerous documents related to the illegal cultivation sites as well as evidence of a false document filed with Santa Barbara County concerning a marijuana grow.

Simultaneously, investigators served search warrants at properties located in the 7900 block of Blazing Saddle Drive and the 1800 block of Tepusquet Road in Northern Santa Barbara County. During the searches, investigators discovered a large marijuana cultivation site and an additional site that was being prepared to cultivate marijuana.

Investigators also observed environmental violations involving disruptions of a stream bed and grading.

A follow up search warrant took investigators to the 800 block of Chata Street in Nipomo, where a small amount of heroin and additional marijuana cultivation related documents were located.

While investigators were eradicating the marijuana plants, they observed a neighboring property in the 1800 block of Tepusquet Road with an illegal marijuana grow of 174 plants. Deputies also destroyed those plants.

The sheriff’s office is seeking charges related to the illegal marijuana cultivation and perjury.

What if it were determined to be hemp like the last guy?

So where did the money come from for this new formed dope team, I would hope that it came out of alllll those tax monies that the govt got for making this legal.

Comrade you will comply.

The War on Drugs is too fun for law enforcement to stop….

Let’s make it legal! Everything will be OK then! Making criminal behavior suddenly legal does nothing to change the criminals from their bent to do crime.

That’s what was said before the election that made it legal. Now these illegal grows are about tax and regulation avoidance. Notice that it was the “Cannabis Compliance” team that made the raid, not the “Cannabis Eradication” team. The soldiers are the same, but the mission has changed. It’s now about revenue and regulation, not about health or public safety. The pseudo-libertarian dream that everything will be OK has become the fascistic nightmare of government control of marijuana production. Burdensome regulations and high taxes will eliminate small growers and turn production into big business. And that big business will be controlled by the State. There is a drug crisis in this state: The drug is tax money, the out-of-control abuser is the state government and the clueless enablers are the voters.
