Drug deal gone bad or rival gang retaliation ….Hauling dope or guns in travel trailers oldest trick in the books …..Cause police need search warrant to search trailer if they are pulled over….But it will be blamed on the dunes … Similiar situation at Yosemite but no blame on Yogi or Yosemite

The dunes are pathetically maintained, trash is everywhere, rangers are a no-show unless there are problems, I have been in and around the dunes my whole life, but it is completely out of control and mis-managed.

Folks,

The Pismo Dunes have become a shit show, close it down already.

It’s not always about the economy.

Ah, but in this case it is. Just think of the profits and accompanying sales tax revenue and learn to love the monster trucks with the giant Confederate flags and dangling “truck nuts” (guess they don’t have their own real ones) driving down Pier Avenue.

Why is someone who is charged with attempted murder, who has possibly shot 6 people, being offered bail? Seriously?

And while I’m at it: Alcohol, guns, reckless ATV operation, etc. Seems a bit extreme and somewhat nihilistic to be called “recreation”. I am surprised that those who would deny standard health care to productive members of society or those in actual need are not complaining bitterly for the tab we must be picking up for the maintenance and clean up of these goings on. It appears to me, the only socially redeeming factor to the constant stream of inevitable injuries and fatalities at our very own little Thunderdome is that the festivities are contained to one area and therefore spares the general public.

The state parks “rangers” at ODSVRA are not leading nature hikes. They’re pretty much street (beach) cops.
