Car windows shot in San Luis Obispo, TikTok stunt suspected

Possibly as part of an ongoing TikTok challenge, a suspect or suspects shot projectiles into a parked car in San Luis Obispo earlier this week.

Late Tuesday night, a vehicle parked in the 100 block of S. Higuera Street was found to have been shot with a pellet or BB gun, according to the San Luis Obispo Police Department. The shots shattered several windows.

Officers suspect the incident may be associated with a TikTok challenge that encourages participants to shoot at pedestrians and vehicles with Airsoft or pellet guns. Similar incidents have recently occurred in Santa Barbara County, including one on Friday, in which a student was reportedly shot in the temple outside of Righetti High School in Santa Maria.

Investigators are asking anyone who is a victim or has observed similar behavior to contact the San Luis Obispo Police Department.

Talk to your kids and let them know the risks that Tic Tok can create in their lives….its a China based information research gathering enterprise….and its purpose and intention are not good….

If you believe the intentions of TikTok are nefarious (Chinese Government’s MK Ultra), then as a parent — enable the ‘parental controls’ on your kids phone and remove the ability to install/view TikTok. Mind control prevention.

If you feel TikTok is only semi-nefarious (AI manipulating your dopamine) — enable the ‘parental controls’ on your kids phone and set a time limit on the app. Curb the addiction.

Talk to your kids, yes, absolutely. But at a certain point you have to be more than a friend to the kid — you have to be a parent. If that means taking away access to something like TikTok, so be it. Same goes for any form of media — Netflix, Youtube, Instagram, SnapChat, Omegle, XBox, etc.
