Less than three days after Paso Robles City Manager Ty Lewis’ primary witness refuted several of his claims of a conspiracy against him on a local radio show, the city announced Lewis stepped down with a settlement agreement. His last day was Jan. 26.

Lewis filed his claim on Aug. 16 seeking $2.275 million against the city for harassment and allowing a hostile work environment. He said that Councilman Chris Bausch and others, including a CalCoastNews reporter, had conspired against him.

The city denied his claim.

Lewis then provided an addendum to his initial complaint on Oct. 18. Lewis wrote that Ernest and Grace Hall, the owners of a marijuana delivery service, informed him a group of people, Gary Lehrer and Linda George, were conspiring against him.

Lewis claimed the Halls also told him Bausch and a reporter had organized meetings with a goal of ousting him office.

On Jan. 23, Grace Hall called into Soundoff on KPRL. When asked about Lewis’ allegations that Lehrer and George were involved in the conspiracy, Grace Hall said she had never met either one of them.

When asked about allegations she told Lewis that Bausch and a reporter hosted meetings to discuss telling lies about Lewis, Grace Hall said that neither she nor her husband made the claim.

Following a closed session City Council meeting on Monday, City Attorney Elizabeth Hull said Lewis and the city had reached a mutual settlement agreement. Hull plans to make the settlement agreement public no earlier than Feb. 4.

“This agreement resolves all outstanding issues related to a claim Mr. Lewis previously filed against the city,” the city said in a statement. “Under the terms of the settlement, neither party will pursue litigation related to this claim.”

Assistant City Manager Chris Huot has assumed the role of interim city manager.

How do we now get that Nepo Baby mayor who inherited Daddies money to GTFO? Guys job description is “hobbyist pilot”. Also, he’s smug, a jerk, and rude.

Karen should sue the Tribune and their reporters along with anyone else that was trying go after her for uncovering this and informing the public. The Tribune was defending Ty Lewis this whole time and attacking Karen and CCN as if they were the problem. I don’t even see any articles on their website informing their few readers that Lewis stepped down and lawsuit was settled.

Notch another victory for Cal Coast news.

City manager lies, fails at his job, get a big bucket of other peoples $$$$$ to keep quiet, retires with a falsely increased pension, from a bankrupt system, and then either contracts, works parttime or becomes a consultant with some government entity, laughing all the way to the bank, ” The Government Way”.

No wonder he has a big smile on his face!!

Seems like an sophisticated attempt at influence pedaling. Very surprised it didn’t work out

Let’s see what Ty 4.0 will bring

From police officer to police chief to city manager to…..private investigator. (Maybe he’ll ‘investigate’ the city government. Wouldn’t that be rich!)

So, Ty Lewis made friends with a convicted felon, LA gangster, dope dealer. The dope dealer and his wife then threw Lewis under the bus when things got hot to save Ernest and Grace Hall’s local reputation and failing businesses. Way to go Lewis!

Like Chris Williams, I suppose Lewis with stick around like a leach and suck the blood (money) out of our community. Three of our sitting City Counsel Members are to blame for both Lewis and Williams. They need to leave as well.

Just another example of greed and corruption at all levels. It is all around us; from local agencies, to city, county, state, and federal government. Thanks to independent investigative reporters like Karen Velie some of this rot is exposed.

But don’t be content into thinking he is a rare exception. The corruption is thick at all levels and all parties.

And I am sure he was well rewarded on the way out. Disgusting.

Just a guess, he got seven figures from his Cronies in the City. Here comes the standard line, “Litigation would have cost much more”.
