San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg

By KAREN VELIE

Governor Gavin Newsom appointed San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg to a seat on the California Air Resources Board on Feb. 20. The appointment requires Senate confirmation, according to a press release.

In 2020, Newsom appointed Ortiz-Legg to succeed former SLO County Supervisor Adam Hill. Ortiz-Legg was a close personal friend of Hill.

As a supervisor, she is also a member of the San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District.

The local air district has been marred in controversy regarding false claims of issues such a silica dust blowing from the Oceano Dunes. The government has spent tens of millions of taxpayer dollars for mitigation and court cases partially because of the inaccurate allegations.

Just in time for the dissolution of the agency, to bad it isn’t Gibson.

Interesting choice. She had been showing some resistance to comrade Gibson, voicing well-founded skepticism regarding the APCD’s dune dust BS. My hunch is this is a play to keep her in line by those who want to boot OHV’s from the south county. I hope I’m wrong, but from Gibson to Newsom, the dems never fail to disappoint.

Because…of course.

F-up, move up

Leg over move up.

And this California is the reason why the Democrats have run OUR State straight into the ground.

We need a DOGE committee to root out the corruption running our State.

We cannot get the heel of Tyranny off our Necks any other way.

Perhaps, why Democrats are gun grabbers?

If they are “gun grabbers,” then they’ve totally failed, considering the U.S. has over 500 million guns, more than twice as many as any other nation per capita. And, if California has been run “into the ground” why is it that the state sends nearly $100 billion of its federal tax money to red states such as Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, among others?

Nightrider What part of “Please address the Policies, events and arguments, not the person.” is not clear?

Great, now she can play lawnmower Cheka

Good! She can start by rescinding any future battery storage applications marked for review in the State.

The only entity to get one over CARB ever is Volkswagen. When they were deceptive about their diesel vehicles and pollution. VW has a big test facility in Oxnard and I know first hand, CARB visits them regularly. CARB does not have to answer to anyone, they are dictators. With CARB it used to be just about air pollution. When the phenomenon known as Climate Change became a religion, CARB became even more dictatorial. Is Ms. Otiz-Legg a dictator?

Now that Legg is on board it is much more likely that more will get one over on CARB.

Swell…
