Man stabbed behind Vons in San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo Police are looking for a man who stabbed a homeless man behind the Von’s grocery store on Broad Street at about 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
The victim, an unnamed 55-year-old man, was talking with another man when for an unknown reason the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest with a sharp tool. The suspect then fled on foot.
The victim went around to the front of the store and asked a passerby for help. He was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital where doctors performed surgery.
He remains in the intensive care unit.
Police describe the suspect as a 30 to 35-year-old white man, about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with long hair possibly in a ponytail.
