Meth intoxication blamed for fatal Grover Beach accident
June 13, 2013
Grover Beach police said that methamphetamine played a role in the crash that killed two people in Grover Beach on April 2.
Police said Raymond Cano, 49, was driving a 1994 Ford pickup truck that veered off the road, slammed into a tree and flipped onto its side along El Camino Real near Oak Park Boulevard killing himself and his wife Kimberly Cano, 46.
Investigators said they also determined Raymond Cano improperly turned while driving at an unsafe speed — approximately 50 mph — for the roadway conditions.
