San Luis Obispo man stuck by car and killed

An Arroyo Grande man struck and killed a pedestrian on Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo on Saturday morning.
Shortly before 5 a.m., John Hooper was driving and turned southbound near Los Osos Valley Road when he struck Kent Boswell. Officers arrived to find Boswell still in the roadway and performed CPR. Boswell was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to be a factor in the collision. An investigation is ongoing.
