The 61-year-old woman arrested for murdering a man at the Dancing Horse Retreat in Paso Robles on Saturday has been identified as Nicole Honait Luxor, a self described clairvoyant.

San Luis Obispo County deputies booked Luxor, who was sporting a black eye, into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on a murder charge. Her bail has been set at $1 million.

Luxor owns and operates the Dancing Horse Retreat “where she breeds and trains Paso Fino “dancing horses” and conducts individual, group, and couple’s readings along with special ceremonial events, and celebrations,” according to Luxor’s website.

“Nicole communicates with animals and spirit guides and can “receive” quintessential information about an individual’s soul,” the website says.

Shortly after 3 p.m., deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon against a male victim at the Old Nacimiento Road retreat. Luor had barricaded herself inside.

After several hours, deputies were able to enter the home where they found the man’s body. Luxor then fired one shot at deputies and retreated to an upstairs bedroom. No one was injured.

Negotiators attempted to reach Luxor on her phone, but were unable to make contact. Deputies then shot tear gas into the upstairs bedroom. Luxor responded by firing multiple gunshots at law enforcement personnel. Again, no one was injured.

Just before midnight, Luxor surrendered and deputies took her into custody unharmed.

The name of the alleged victim, a man in his 30s, is not being released pending notification of his next of kin.

Indigo, you are totally way off on your rape theory. This woman was not acting like a victim when she shot at sheriff’s deputies. She was acting like someone who had just killed someone and didn’t want to be arrested. Hopefully, the real story will come out soon. I’ll bet the neighbors will be glad to see her go.

I have to say this. How can you help but make fun of someone who claims to be a clairvoyant, especially when her first two businesses had probably reached their 5 year limit as “tax deductions without question” from the IRS, and she needed to start a new business to keep from paying her rightful share of taxes.

Indigo1955. Stfu. The victim is one of the nicest, gentlest people I have ever known. You are repulsed that people would ridicule her for dabbling in the esoteric!? I’m repulsed that you would slander a dead man (who was a friend to many) and assume to know what happened with so few details having been reported. I’m sure her bail is related to the severity of the situation, which I also assume law enforcement has a bit more information about than you do.

Free speech means I can say what I please.

Free speech may protect your right to say whatever dumbass thing you want– but it doesn’t change the fact that you do not know what the circumstances surrounding the case are and you are just making guesses based on the ages and genders of the people involved. Just because you have the right to say something doesn’t make you right or make it the right thing to say. I would also prefer that people quit making fun of her for claiming to be a clairvoyant– it distracts from the fact that a life was taken and someone who is beloved by many in this community is now dead.

Not exactly. It comes with responsibility, like most things.

He probably tried to rape her and she shot him. Remember the woman in Santa Maria a few months ago who was raped so violently she died from internal bleeding? Wouldn’t you have liked to see her kill that guy who had committed so many crimes—and yet never was deported? And yet—look what happens when women try and defend themselves—not ONE child molester that Cal Coast News has featured on here–even the ones that raped children violently–had a million dollar bail. It is my bet this woman was in shock when deputies arrived, and that there is a chance the rape may have been carried out. I am repulsed by the fact because someone dabbles in the esoteric—that she must be ridiculed and laughed at. God forbid if she was a race other than White also—you jerks would really have a heyday!

O.k. then why board yourself up and shoot at the cops? If he raped you and IF he is dead (and no longer threat and now cops there to protect) and IF he is the threat AND NOT THE COPS then why continue on with standoff??

That’s a real leap.

Hope you took a parachute with you.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Grow up. A person is dead and a woman is being held on bail for murder. Act like an adult human being.

Nicole Luxor’s clairvoyant skills go wanting because she should have seen this coming so as to plan for a foolproof getaway.

Our Godly Christian Nation has the correct outcome for this woman, and that is the following, to wit; “A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.” (Leviticus 20:27)

Reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor complain about the “cranky owner” who made them clean up the yard after their wedding events.

Sounds like just another bed and breakfast scammer, operating a business for the tax deductions.

She didn’t see this coming?

Well this certainly disproves the old adage “There is no such thing as bad publicity.”

I’m not feeling like booking a stay at the Dancing Horse Retreat!

Actually she is in jail, so no threat, no one is going to be making reservations, so they will probably lower price and because of no reservations, you’ll have the place to yourself. May want to reconsider.

Her bio says she has a genius level I.Q? I thought people with high I.Q’s didn’t react with anger etc? Sarcasm.
