Around 8:45 p.m., an Atascadero woman was driving eastbound on Highway 41 when she lost control of her vehicle, left the road and crashed into a power pole. The collision caused a live power line to drape across the highway.
CHP officers, Cal Fire personnel and PG&E workers responded the scene. An ambulance also arrived at the location.
The officers arrested the woman for DUI. The woman was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for examination prior to being booked into the jail.
Both lanes of the highway remained close until just after 10:30 p.m.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
