BLM protesters threaten to harass district attorney at his Templeton home

A group of Black Lives Matter supporters circulated a flier on Thursday asking protesters to gather at San Luis Obispo County District Attorney Dan Dow’s home in Templeton to disrupt his sleep until he acquiesces to their demand not to charge one of their leaders.

“Protesters must gather in front of San Luis Obispo County DA, Dan Dow’s home in Templeton, CA until the charges are dropped against Tianna Arata,” the flier says.

In response to the flier, about 20 members of Protect Paso, along with sheriff deputies, CHP officers and district attorney investigators arrived at Dow’s home Thursday night effectively dissuading the protesters. Protect Paso was formed to support law enforcement in response to the BLM protests and riots. The group currently has 8,489 Facebook members.

On Tuesday, the San Luis Obispo Police Department asked the District Attorney’s Office to file five felony and three misdemeanor charges against Arata, the organizer of a July 21 Black Lives Matter protest that included chasing after cars and detaining the drivers. Dow’s office has not yet made a determination on the charges.

Arata led approximately 300 protesters onto Highway 101 from both Osos Street and California Boulevard, blocking all lanes in both directions for nearly an hour. While on the highway, protesters ran after vehicles attempting to drive off the freeway, blocked vehicles, and yelled profanities at some of the drivers, according to videos of the protest.

In one incident, a protester threw a skateboard at the back window of a car. The window shattered, with the pieces landing on a 4-year-old boy, who was unharmed. Protesters claim the driver had hit a protester.

Police investigators are seeking five felony charges against Arata: four felony counts of false imprisonment and a felony count of conspiracy. In addition, investigators are seeking three misdemeanor charges: resisting or obstructing a peace officer, inciting a riot, and unlawful assembly.

I watched the video that was shot by this leader herself. She is a massive narcissist who is clearly enjoying the power she is getting from traumatizing innocent people. Her storming through downtown screaming obscenities and yelling at innocent people that are trying to mind your own business in San Luis Obispo is appalling. The fact that she lead 300 that swarmed Giuseppe’s restaurant patrons while screaming “F…. your comfort!!” was just sickening. It is not legal, moral, or reasonable, to stomp around a city and scream obscenities in a mob at innocent people minding your own business. I guarantee you that if good people swarmed to her house and screamed obscenities All Night Long at her she wouldn’t like it. This is Mob Justice that is happening in this city because of our mayor Heidi Harmon. We have, through our mayor, invited these selfish, narcissistic young people and angry agitators to threaten our city with harm and causing even more trouble. The law enforcement in our city is putting up with this kind of disruption because they just don’t have the bandwidth to enforce the law. It reminds me of Chicago being run by the mob back in the 1920s. Our prosecutor and our Sheriff are both righteous and decent individuals who are trying to do their jobs enforcing a rule of law in our County. Giving in to these angry deceived young people making insane and unreasonable violent demands on our society is just not acceptable. Every single one of these people yelling obscenities in our downtown should be cooling their heels in prison for a while.


Our Civilization sits on a razor’s edge. We are watching it dismantled by people who don’t know anything about history or the world we live in.

Why does she deserve a break, for fear of more protests and violent outburst?? Nope, we the people shall not bend the bar out of fear to create a person with a strong influence to get a biggerby beating the charges and media attention. I watched her video, she was full of hate I don’t necessarily like most cops but would never lead a march yelling F Police and block traffic as they our police force is not an issue,. She is a nuisance not leader. MLK was a leader and made a difference, a impact and was for the people to unit not division. I served my country and will protect my hometown and county along with the other 99% of us good people wanting peace and non violence. We cannot let the 1% of an entitled youth to dedicate our quality of living and influence our younger generation. Prosecute to the fullest and let the facts come out to hear both sides. We need to come together as a community of people no matter the race we all sons and daughters of the most high King and Live by Faith not fear. I do honestly pray for the punks and for their minds to open, and make our community a better place by respect for others and kindness. Otherwise these brunch shutting down our roads and putting people in danger will end up getting hurt and bad. Poke a tribe enough and these people of very few don’t have the tools to defend nor the amount to go against a city of good people and ones tired of this BS. Fight back and support our elected competent Sheriff Parkinson, his team along with elected officials, and the law. They ruin a person’s entire future over a small civil rights protest, and for fun let’s compare this small local inconvenience to systemic slavery in the USA, ghettos and poverty facing minorities systemically and unaddressed issues involving indigenous and slavery minorities, yet Deathly Dow let’s government and local massive crime to slide through the cracks? Anyone protesting in front of Mrs. Dow’s home (she allows her husband to sleep and do chores there) is potentially traumatizing her and her children. That’s child abuse and possibly endangerment. Thankfully as there should be there was an intervention. Thumbs up!

The protest organizer has no way of determining if someone in that home or nearby homes have impairments or reduced faculties or works a graveyard shift and needs sleep. Dan Dow and Deanna Cantrell will face their own karma on traumatizing the Bedroni-Orndoff kids.

Isn’t there several people running against her?, if they all stay in the race she is a lock for another term. By October or so only the lead opponent should stay in, the others need to withdraw and support that lead opponent so as not dilute the opposition vote. Harmon is counting on and playing up to the Cal Poly vote, maybe with full online classes there is a chance but only if there is a single opponent.
