Paso Robles City Councilwoman supports interfering with ICE agents

Agents arresting suspect in Paso Robles

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has increased operations in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties over the past three days. Misinformation on social media about the operation is creating fear in local immigrant communities.

Early Tuesday morning, texts and social media posts reported ICE agents were in both Paso Robles and San Miguel. The texts told undocumented immigrants to stay in their residences, causing many to stay home from work.

The Department of Homeland Security informed city staff that federal agents were serving warrants on the north side of Paso Robles.

Multiple protestors followed the federal agents’ vehicles, honking their horns to warn undocumented immigrants. Others screamed through a bullhorn at federal agents to “get the fuck out” of their neighborhood.

While locals screamed, blew whistles and honked their horns near the intersection of 32nd and Spring streets, Paso Robles City Councilwoman Kris Beal voiced her support of those interfering with federal agents.

“I am so proud of all the volunteers and caring neighbors,” Beal wrote on social media on Tuesday morning. “If you hear the horns, whistles and bullhorns, go to them and bear witness.”

In response, mutiple social media posters thanked the Paso Robles Police Department for interfering with ICE agents.

However, Paso Robles police officers insist they are not interfering or working with ICE agents.

Another example of an elected person who is foolish and apparently hates her Country and Community. Ms Beal is so ignorant I will remind her that she has sworn an oath to uphold our constitution and the rule of law! She is publicly calling for people to interfere with our law enforcement agencies. This foolish woman is now calling for people to break laws and is giving aid and comfort to those who are not just breaking immigration law but have committed serious crimes while in the Country illegally. She is a disgrace and should apologize to the law abiding people in our City for her Stupid idiotic statements! She should resign immediately!!

This isn’t about deporting violent criminals who are here illegally. ICE agents are hiding behind masks, denying people due process, and have often arrested and deported US citizens. Deport the bad guys, yes, but protect the innocent!

US citizens cannot be deported. If you cannot make your point without lying, your point is flawed. They wear masks because people like you would dox them and their families, putting them in danger. If you don’t like the immigration policy work to change it through legal means. The fact is that ICE is doing what they were hired to do, remove people that came hear illegally.

There are many documented instances in the past year where ICE has stopped, detained, and yes even deported, U.S. citizens. Big difference between what ICE is legally allowed to do and how they are actually carrying out their “enforcement” operations.

Are you hoping that if you say a lie enough times people will believe it? No legal U.S. citizen has been deported during these ICE enforcements. Please just provide the name of one U.S. citizen deported, stopped and detained, yes, often because the citizen is with an illegal immigrant or they refuse to provide identification so the ICE officials know who they are talking to. If after being stopped and detained the individual provides identification confirming they are not the illegal ICE is looking for they are released.

Setting aside the inherent contradiction in your first three sentences, here’s several U.S. citizens that have been either deported or detained by ICE, or both!


Chanthila Souvannarath – a naturalized citizen deported to Laos despite a federal court order prohibiting his deportation

Jose Hermosillo – a U.S. citizen detained for 10 days by DHS Two unnamed U.S. citizens, age 4 and 7 – deported to Honduras


There are countless other examples out there of U.S. citizens detained and deported by ICE. Children awaiting cancer treatment. Veterans. The list goes on. But sure, go ahead, accuse me of lying without even doing the bare minimum and looking into the issue.

No contradiction, but lets move on. As mentioned detained is a separate issue, if the person is uncooperative, fails to provide identification, or has other legal issues they can be detained. Chanthila Souvannarath’s order from an activist judge was not received prior to their removal, once they arrive at another country it is up to that country if they want to release them, the US has no control over how another country handles their immigration issues.


Jose Hermosillo walked up to border agents and claimed he was in the country illegally, it took time to determined he was lying, when confirmed he was lying he was released. Hopefully you are aware when illegal immigrants that have children born in the US are deported that can request their US citizen children are allowed to go with them, the children are not being deported, their parents are taking them with them.

It wasn’t that long ago when the City of Paso Robles had only one left of center member, Steve Martin, who was a classic liberal, willing to listen and respond. The city was the only sane one in the county. But wine tourism, the push towards Napafication and numerous magazine articles have changed the voting demographics resulting in the Californication of this once oasis of sanity. The nutty police chief who was then promoted to corrupt city manager, and now the election of progressives onto the council. I knew it would happen, and now it has. Don’t be surprised if there is little to differentiate Paso from SLO in the very near future.
